Customization Levels Available

There are 5 base options available for your headlights (satin black paint is a default).

• Sequential Switchback Strips
• Diode Dynamics Switchback Halos
• Projector Clear Lens (Reuses oem projector, swaps lens for more output & sharp output)
• Projector HID or LED Swap (Retains oem AFS, but completely swaps your projector. A great option if your bowls are burnt, which is unfortunately common on these headlights). HID projector would retain your HID Bulbs & Ballasts (Cost saving), LED would be an all in one unit and bypass all that. We would hardwire the components.
• Bluetooth Controlled RGB Demon Eyes – Additional RGB Led chip added to your projector, only visible at night (overpowered by low beams & sun), controlled by your phone.

Important: The Mazda 3 provides GTA Retrofits with the ability to tap into the oem DRL & Turn Signal wires to allow your new LED to function exactly as OEM. If selected, we tap the white halo high power mode into OEM DRL location, white low power mode into OEM Parking lights, and turn signal & ground wires accordingly, same with the sequential switchback strips, however we do confer with you how you’d like the drl mode triggered since there’s only 1 power wire. Alternatively, if you’d like your drl’s to turn on/stay on different than oem, you are able to connect the signal wire to a different power source at will. Due to the wide choice selection that customers have with how to turn on their DRL’s, we only provide a bare wire for that DRL’s power source wire. You may wish to tap it into a cigarette lighter wire parking light, or (recommended) use an Add-a-Circuit adapter to a fuse that provides 12v when your car is powered on.

Projector Clear Lens Swap

Here’s a before/after comparison of a well tuned projector after receiving a clear lens. Tuning involves spacing the lens faction of millimetres at a time, as well as trimming and sanding cut off shields.

Led Turn Signals: GTA Retrofits is happy to provide you with led turn signals, and the required resistor to prevent hyperflash. However, we cannot pre-wire the resistor unless we somehow acquire a wire harness, and at the moment, we only would be able to get yours if you shipped yours. Otherwise, we’ll just provide you instructions on how to DIY install it. Alternatively, you can purchase a resistor separately and only use the Diode Dynamics Halo as your sole turn signal (it’s that bright), the sequential strip might be a little dim to do standalone duty in direct sun light.

OEM DRL/High Beam Location: We leave this chrome by default, you may request us to paint it IF you opt for a bi-xenon or bi-led projector.

Aftermarket Housings: Nothing beats oem…except on price. This remains true for the UV clearcoat applied to aftermarket lenses, which can fail much sooner than oem. It is the customers responsibility to have Paint Protection Film (PPF) installed by a local detailer AS SOON AS POSSIBLE to prevent damage from rock chips & the sun. Clear coat failure, and anything else directly related to the aftermarket housing is not covered under warranty.
