One of our most popular models we retrofit, the V1 Vland Headlights for the BRZ/GT86 (and FRS) have a huge variety of options available. Ranging from a high performance Bi-LED projector swap, to complete Chasing RGBW Drl replacement with hardwired DRL & Turn Signal’s plus Bluetooth controlled showmodes. Exploring your options
Low/High Beam Options: In our opinion, the Vland Headlights actually come with acceptable projectors, and everyone who says they’re terrible, probably uses cheap led bulbs, and often, not even the right size. We’ve got the shots to prove it, our D2H Vland Specific HID Kit is more than able to hold its own. We also offer a variety of “All-in-one” Bi-LED projectors, which is more than just a bulb swap. The NHK M4, NHK M5 or Dragon Series include large heat-sinks with integrated cooling fans to provide a long lifespan. While we did say the stock projectors are good, the Bi-LED offerings are another level, not to mention no external wiring, everything is hardwired and self-contained.

Industry Leading Blueghozt Controller: Many Retrofitters are able to reduce the cost of their builds by using cheaper parts such as an sp105e or sp110e controller, GTA Retrofits does not. We do sell the sp105e controller on our website for those getting their toes wet in the world of custom headlight retrofitting, but on orders we build, we keep the bar high and stick with the Ghost Lighting Blueghozt Lite controller. We take it a step further and hand solder all connections and then fully waterproof (pot) the controller. Each connection is also provided with glue-lined heat-shrink to prevent water intrusion and corrosion. Your DRL & turn signal functions are hardwired into the controller providing automatic lighting for daily driving. Show modes are controlled from the users phone, and if desired, can override your DRL’s. The controller features 8+ Startup/Shutdown animations, multiple different turn signal animations, and for each show mode, the user is able to edit the selected colours, speed, and frequency.
Custom Boomerang LEDs: Our signature modification, we completely remove the stock acrylic, powered by a single led, and replace with a a 144/m led strip, hand soldered to fit behind the stock diffuser. 12V vs 5V; The GT RGBW Rigid UCS2904 Chasing Strip uses a semi-rigid chip board with the UCS2904 control chip mounted on the back which helps isolate it from heat, which helps to extends product lifespan, all while being brighter. The 5V GT RGBW Chasing Strip uses a flexible ribbon, but flexibility is not a necessity here, which is why we would only select 5V if you require halos in your build, which are only available in 5V sk6812rgbw chips.
Custom Halos: Our GT RGBW Chasing round halos, hex halos, and heart halos, are a great finishing touch to add to your headlights, and exclusively use SK6812rgbw chips on rigid boards, which means they’re only compatible with the 5V strips. Selecting a Bi-LED projector would see an increased lifespan of your halos due to the cooler running temperature of the Bi-LED projector.
RGB Demon Eyes: Demon Eyes are a subtle but unique touch for your headlights (often paired with projector lens etching), and can be controlled via your phone. We have 2 solid RGB(w) options which have stand alone control from your Chasing DRL’s. Admittedly, the Diode Dynamics are the brightest option, but at significant price increase, dozens of customers are satisfied with the GTA Retrofits GT RGB Demon Eyes & Controller. Lastly we offer the ability the integrate your demon eye into your show modes, which is cheaper, but does not offer flexibility in usage.
Projector Lens Etching: The final touch, whether you choose the classic honeycomb etching, a Sharingan, a business name, or literally any other pattern or logo, a projector lens etching sets you apart, typically (but not automatically) paired with a Bluetooth Controlled GT RGB Demon Eye.
Lead Time & Turn Around Time: Current earliest booking is provided above, with a 1-2 week turnaround time depending on complexity of your order. You will be contacted after your order is placed to confirm shipping/drop off date (plan to have your housings arrive on date posted above).
Terms & Conditions (Important)
Shipping Insurance: Route shipping insurance is automatically applied and covers the cost of the service (ie: lens + labour). Opting not to select and purchase the coverage will leave your headlights without coverage from damage, loss, or theft. Signature will be required on all shipments. We cannot stress how important this is.
Our standard retrofit warranty and terms & conditions apply to this purchase. No refunds once we’ve received your headlights under any circumstances. Most lenses will be special ordered, and cannot be refunded once our supply order is placed, typically 2-3 days. Post-order refunds will be for the labour portion only, and may be subject to a 10% fee.
Cores: This service may require customers to provide their housing assemblies, turn around time (not including shipping) is approx 1 week after lead time.
Imports: GTA Retrofits is a Canadian company, Due to the tariffs placed upon Canada by the USA, American customers should expect to pay $80-120 in Tariffs/Duties to the shipper (UPS typically) before receiving their headlights, GTA Retrofits has no ability to prepay them for you. We declare the headlights are Warranty/Repair. International customers can expect customary duties.
UPS Standard often has higher border fees/costs on top of the initial shipping costs than 3 Day Select (even more than the difference), for piece of mind, we typically choose 3 Day Select for all our packages, we suggest you do the same. Return shipping cost is based off a 60cmx60cmx40cm box, weighing 10kg. Shipping costs will be adjusted if shipping costs are significantly off.
Local drop off/pick up is available as a shipping option at check out for those located in the GTA. We’re located in Pickering, Ontario.
