Custom 2016-2018 Acura ILX Headlights – Elevate your ride.

The 2016-2018 Acura ILX carries a longer, more demanding DRL signature than most people realize. At 48″ of combined LED strip length across dozens of hand-soldered points, it’s one of the more labour-intensive builds we do — and the result shows. Each strip is placed precisely to maximize the OEM acrylic optics, delivering a seamless chasing RGBW effect from end to end.

What’s Inside

Controller: Blueghozt Lite Smart LED Controller. We exclusively use the Blueghozt controller for all of our builds. It is hands down the most capable controller while being easy to program on the fly. DRL & Turn Signal functions are hardwired for automatic functionality, while showmodes are controlled via APP from your phone. Other Retrofitters may opt for cheaper sp105e, sp110e variant controllers to save cost and secure the sale. We don’t offer anything less than the best.

LEDs: GT RGBW Rigid UCS2904 Chasing Strips (12V): We use in-house designed & stocked 12v UCS2904 LEDs for the best and brightest output available. The semi-rigid board provides better heat dissipation and vibration resistance over flexible alternatives. The ILX requires 48″ of combined strip length — more than most builds — with every solder point done by hand to ensure a clean, consistent chase effect across the full DRL.

Paint: Each surface is properly stripped and prepped prior to painting, ensuring lifelong satisfaction. OEM paint match will ensure a 95%+ match and uses a 2 part clear coat to provide a orange-peel free finish. All paint is sprayed in a heat & humidity controlled booth with drown draft ventilation to ensure consistent spray patterns, and no overspray or contaminants.

Sealant: Each retrofit always receives new oem colour matched sealant. Any dirt or debris caught in the original sealant is removed.

This service requires customers to provide their housing assemblies, no cores are available, and turn around time (not including shipping) is approx 1-2 weeks.

GTA Retrofits is a Canadian company, American customers will be provided a American PO box to ship their headlights to, and we will do the paper work to import into Canada. There is a fee associated with this, that is set by our broker, typically around $35-40 CAD. The actual cost will be passed along to the customer before we ship the headlights back. Due to the tariffs placed upon Canada by the USA, American customers should expect to pay $80-120 in Tariffs/Duties to the shipper (UPS typically) before receiving their headlights, GTA Retrofits has no ability to prepay them for you. We declare the headlights are Warranty/Repair.

Route Shipping Insurance is automatically applied at check out (for the value of the purchase), if the customer removes it, NO return shipping insurance will be available for your headlights, lost, stolen, damaged, or otherwise. The pre-calculated insurance only covers the value of retrofit parts & labour, additional insurance is required to insure your housings themselves. Should you wish to insure for higher (IE you have really expensive housings), please let us know, and we will arrange it for you, typically $3-4 per $100 value insured.

UPS Standard often has higher border fees/costs on top of the intial shipping costs than 3 Day Select (even more than the difference), for piece of mind, we typically choose 3 Day Select for all our packages, we suggest you do the same. Return shipping cost is based off a 60cmx60cmx40cm box, weighing 10kg. Shipping costs will be adjusted if shipping costs are significantly off.

Local drop off/pick up is available as a shipping option at check out for those located in the GTA. We’re located in Pickering, Ontario.

Important: The ILX provides GTA Retrofits with the ability to tap into the oem DRL & Turn Signal wires to allow your new LED to function exactly as OEM. If you’d like your drl’s to turn on/stay on different than oem, you are able to connect the signal wire to a different power source at will. Due to the wide choice selection that customers have with how to turn on their DRL’s, we only provide a bare wire for that DRL’s power source wire. You may wish to tap it into a cigarette lighter wire parking light, or (recommended) use an Add-a-Circuit adapter to a fuse that provides 12v when your car is powered on.
