Performance on the cheap: A replica of the Hella G5 projector, the G5-R BRT is what the Morimoto D2S 5.0 was originally based off. We’ll admit, the 5.0 does it better in a few aspects, but the G5-R BRT packs a punch at a good price point. The G5-R lens holder is riveted together to the bowl, which leads to a slightly more difficult time if you want to remove the lens to have it etched for example, but if that’s not on the table, then don’t even worry about it.
Installation: Use with any of our GT Retrofit brackets, or make your own. There is no threaded shaft on this projector
Tints: The blue tint option will increase your output by about 10%, while dropping your bulb temperature output by about 500k, bringing your 5500k down to about 5000k, and so on.
