2013+ BRZ VLand Specific HID Kit (FRS/BRZ/GT86)
$175.00 – $306.00Price range: $175.00 through $306.00
Reliability and performance are what you’ll be getting with this BRZ VLAND Specific HID Kit for the FRS, BRZ, & GT86 headlight. The VLand manufacturer has opted not to include bulbs with their headlights. We’ve asked why they don’t really say. So we took it upon ourselves to create the BRZ VLAND Specific HID Kit, a drop-in kit that fits perfectly.
Our kit uses D2S (or D2H) bulbs, the ONLY bulb that is supposed to be installed on these G5 variant projectors. You may see videos online that say H7 or H11 bulbs can be used, and they would be wrong. While you can probably jam any bulb in any projector, that doesn’t mean it’s right.
See below for installation guides & explanation of D2S vs D2H.

2013+ FRS/BRZ/GT86 VLand Specific HID Kit
A direct fit HID kit for BRZ Vland Headlight, this kit from GTA Retrofits needs no modifications to your housing for optimal output.
Vland D2S Headlight Install & Review
What’s the difference between the D2S Kit and the D2H Kit?
D2S: Allows for OEM bulbs, or a D2S bulb from any other manufacturer to be used should you desire. Allowing for better output and longevity. Better bulb seating within the holder. You will be required to enlarge the hole on the rear bulb access cap to allow for space for the hid bulb igniter.
D2H: Cheaper, easier to install, theoretically should have the same output as D2S, however, if installed incorrectly (our guides show you how to install correctly), you may experience shadows in your output. Re-seating the bulb should fix this. Should the bulb fail, you will be forced to buy another D2H bulb and will have to wait for delivery/shipping as it’s not a “common” bulb that all suppliers carry and is “aftermarket only”.
STANDARDS: The Hylux 2088 EU-Spec HID ballast is what the BRZ VLAND Specific HID Kit was built around, set to produce an industry-standard 35w of power which typically provides around 3200 lumens on a quality 4300K Bulb. They will accept a 9-16V range for input and will power all HID bulbs with industry-standard AMP connectors, perfect for this kit.
RELAY WIRE HARNESS: As one of the most important parts of any HID lighting upgrade; don’t skimp out when it comes to your wiring. It doesn’t matter how good your ballasts are, or how good your bulbs are if your harness wiring is below spec (or fuses rated too low) when it gives out, your headlights will leave you in the dark. These harnesses are the best on the market and are easily worth their price. No matter which one is right for your application, the harness features triple-sealed relay packs, stranded copper wiring, over-molded fittings, and plug-n-play functionality. This will ensure everything properly (and permanently) works with your vehicle’s original in-cabin controls.

D2H Installation Guide

Remove Cap & Rubber
Push wiring through. I recommend pushing the rubber all the way through, and then halfway back. It makes it easier.
Remove Bulb holder and place around the bulb. Making sure it seats properly around the nubs. It will be a little loose, so you’ll have to hold in place while inserting it.
Insert and twist to lock, ensuring it’s snug and the yellow return wire is at the bottom
Insert power wires, Blue to Green, White to Black. Your kit may come with Red/Black wires, in which case, Red to Green, Black to Black.
Put the cap back on and install it on the car. Add HID ballast or relay harness + ballast.

This picture show the old cap that used to be supplied and has a secondary grommet in it to provide holes to pass through. The new cap (in the picture above) already has the holes, and so the second grommet is not needed. Just drill out the provided holes with a 3/16 bit.

THIS IS ONLY REQUIRED IF YOUR CAP HAS A LOT OF WIGGLE ROOM

Easy installation with the guides and really good output.

Shipped same day. Really good deal for Americans thanks to the currency exchange, the $205 canadian price tag is about $150. Helps offset any shipping costs. Output was much better than the h7 bulbs that some tell you to us.

Was running the best pair of LED’s I could get my hands and which were absolutely shit then I bought these and it has legitimately changed my night driving almost as bright as the light bar I run on my car. MUST GOD DAMN BUY FOR YOUR VLANDS p.s. install them properly
