These drivers were intended to be used with strips however they will work with halos just as well. The DRL & Turn signal functions are hard-programmed for 24″ of grbw chips (or less), the show modes can work with (near) unlimited.
New controllers/driver combo includes updated drivers.
The sp105e was introduced to allow beginners and budget constrained retrofittters get their toes wet in the would of custom headlights. While not as powerful as the Blueghozt controller, it gets the job done, at less than half the cost.
Driver Functions
Modes 1 & 2 Operate without any user input and will work regardless of Bluetooth connectivity (must still be connected to the battery at all times). Modes 3 & 4 work directly from the battery and will work regardless if the vehicle is ON or OFF (However 1 & 2 will still override 3 & 4).
- Solid White parking light mode. This mode is triggered by a wire direct to the driver. Customers may attach this to an “Always on fuse”, a toggle switch, or any other light that they’d like the strip to turn on with (oem parking light wire). Parking Light mode overrides RGB & Show mode, so if you forget to turn off either before driving, it will automatically turn red.
- Switchback Turn Signals. The leds will flash amber with your oem turn signal. This overrides RGB, Show Mode & DRL Mode.
- Solid RGB. The downloadable IOS or Android App has “quick buttons” for solid RGB colours on the home screen.
- Show Mode. 200 Preprogrammed Show modes controlled via your phone with a sp105e controller
Turn signal mode: The DRL driver handles the turn signal function, and is currently programmed from factory to have the sequential amber sequence illuminate for 24 inches of combined LEDs. For example, 24″ of led strip, or 1 Halo with 8″ circumference + 18″ of led strip if they are being installed in series as our halos are designed to do.
Installation: Jst plugs & connections are NOT waterproof, and MUST be protected with dielectric grease and heatshrink to prevent corrosion. Products not protected in like/similar manner will not be warrantied.

SP105E Installation Guide
Installation
This guide is intended to give customers of www.gtaretrofits.com a quick understanding of how to install and use their new RGBWA Chasing Halos or Strips.
The kit includes 4 basic items;
• 12-5v Transformer
• sp105e Controller
• DRL Driver
• Strips/Halos (or both)

Wiring
1. Connect the transformer directly to your car battery.
2. Plug sp105e & DRL driver into transformer wiring harness. Place the sp105e controller in as safe & waterproof a location as possible. (JST extension wires are available).
3. Connect DRL wire to a 12v power source of your choice.
4. Connect Turn signal wires to the oem turn signal power wires. The turn signal inputs are specific to an output from the DRL Driver. It is important to test that the driver outputs are not plugged in backwards by using your turn signals and making sure that signalling (left/right) returns the correct flashing headlight. If not, swap the outputs.
5. Plug the driver outputs into the halos/strips.
Recommended steps
1. Apply a dab of DI-electric grease to all plugs to help prevent oxidation and corrosion. This will help ensure the lifespan of your purchase. These LEDs will misbehave if they receive a bad connection at best, and if there is corrosion on the pins, have historically attempted to draw too much power, killing themselves. No warranty is provided if the connections have not been protected and corrosion/oxidation is present.
2. The sp105e controller is universal and comes with the wires “pre-tinned” from factory. We suggest snipping off the exposed wires and stripping your own 1cm length before installing. We’d apply the same DI-electric grease here too. Clamp in the wire covering/sheathing, not just the wire to ensure a strong connection.
App guide
1. Open the App within 60 seconds of applying power to the kit. After 60 seconds, if not already paired you will have to pull the fuse to reset power and try again. 
2. From this screen you can turn your show modes on/off, use the colour wheel for custom colours, select a preset static colour, adjust the speed of the animations and brightness of the LED’s, and access the settings page (top right corner). 
3. If necessary, you can adjust the LED settings to adjust for different types of strips/halos. By default the app & controller should be set to GRB & SK6812-RGBW.
