Welcome to the GTA Retrofit BMW-specific retrofitting page. We’ve created a gallery of some of the many different retrofits completed by us, attempting to cover as many different options and setups available. Please read below the gallery for a description of the options we have available for you, and then if you’d like a quote, fill out the form below.

Please read the following descriptions to find out what options best suit you and your budget. All customers will be expected to provide their own housing’s, we provide the rest. Turn around time typically ranges from 1-2 weeks. For any electrical modifications (IE Halos), coding MUST be done on your car. GTA Retrofits does not offer coding, however, we have a few local shops/tuners that can help (at your cost).
You can also visit our Bavgruppe Product Section to see kits available for your car.

Demon Eyes
Demon eyes are a single led (or small cluster depending on your choice) that illuminate behind the projector. These are NOT your new low beams, and your low beams will easily overpower them if both are turned on simultaneously. To ensure the longevity of your demon eyes, do NOT run them at the same time as your low beams. Heat is an LED’s worst enemy and will drastically shorten its lifespan.
GTA Retrofits offers 2 styles of Demon Eyes
- Stand-alone – Controlled from its own controller, these demon eyes require nothing fancy to install and can be controlled independently of any other functions your headlight is performing
- Integrated – Part of your Blueghozt-enabled Chasing RGBW Halos, these demon eyes become part of your shows, however, they cannot be controlled independently of your halos. We’ll default to stand-alone if you select these without RGBW Chasing halos. I got to put this line in here because I know someone will.
Includes: Demon Eyes & Bluetooth Controller
Customer Installation: Demon Eyes are installed simply by attaching the power wires from the Bluetooth controller directly to the battery. Powering on/off will be controlled solely with your phone.
The photo below shows an E60 Headlights with Quad (2 drivers side, 2 passenger side) Demon Eyes. It also has the Inner Turning Light Lens swapped for a clear lens and the OEM projectors lens swapped for a clear lens, both with custom etching.
Bavgruppe Halos
All Bavgruppe Halos are specifically made to be as Plug & Play with your BMW as possible, however, relay harnesses are often required too. EVERY halo swap requires coding to eliminate bulb error codes, ensure proper voltage (12.1v at all times), and disable OEM parking lights if you are using a switchback feature.
Halos are available in the following led styles;
- Switchback (White DRL, Flashes Amber with turn signal)
- RGBW (Solid colour changing)
- Blueghozt Compatible RGBW Chasing (Startup & Shutdown animation, solid RGB, Editable show modes)
On models where Bavgruppe halos do not fit, such as E90 Halogen headlights, we will recommend Diode Dynamics Halos, and place them behind the OEM halos diffusers, maintaining a very clean look, while upgrading your halos to a very bright, pure white, and even output with no dim spots.

Bavgruppe Full/Half X Concepts
Bavgruppe X Concepts are available as an add-on to your Bavgruppe Halo purchase and are not available as a stand-alone option. Half X Concepts MUST be used on Xenon projectors to prevent your light output from hitting the LED.
Projector Upgrades
Oem projectors are often….lacking. We can change that. You can choose from a simple projector clear lens swap (reuses OEM bulb & ballast), a Bi-Xenon projector upgrade (reuses OEM bulb & ballast), or a Bi-LED projector upgrade (replaces OEM bulb & ballast). The following pictures were all taken on the same camera settings, no trickery here.
Inner Clear Lens Swap
BMWs typically come with an inner turning light (except, for example, the F30 Xenon). While this may add a degree of visibility when turning, it’s not a must-have for most people, especially if your car comes with AFS and your projectors already swivel side-to-side. We can get rid of those vertical lines on your inner projector by swapping the lens for a clear glass lens just like your projector lens. Sometimes we just swap the lens, however, if you’re going for the quad demon eyes look too, we often swap in an entire dummy projector to give the light something to reflect off of to make them equally as bright.
Please note that if swapped, we leave your turning light bulb unplugged, as the verticle lines help direct light, and without them, the light will just scatter. You will need to code the “bulb out” error that will occur.
Projector Lens Etching
Want something even more custom? Have a unique design added to your projector, etched into the glass with sandblasting, this (along with everything here) is a permanent modification, and won’t have any issues with the heat from the bulbs. Hundreds of designs are available or make your own. But let’s be honest….you’re gonna choose honeycomb aren’t you.
If you’re opting for an inner clear lens swap, we’ll assume all 4 are being etched.
Exterior Lens Replacement
For many BMW models, we offer new exterior lenses. We always try to source OEM replacements, but sometimes only aftermarket is available. This is a great option for those whose lenses have become very pitted over the years, as you can’t polish out pitting. We recommend you PPF/clear bra the lens to ensure no pitting will happen again on your new headlights. PPF also prevents UV damage to your lenses and is expected to last an easy 5+ years, and when it’s expired, simply peel the PPF off and reapply.
Halo Acrylic Etching
Bavgruppe halos now offer a horizontal etching into (most) of their halos. This is a $50 option from Bavgruppe.
