Online Store Warranty, Exchange, & Return Information
To start, A disclaimer
GTA Retrofits offers many different types of LED accessories that can be installed inside the headlights. Heat is the number one enemy of any LED product. OEM LED headlights come prepared with massive cooling fins (click for picture) or electronic fans installed to keep heat to a minimum. Aftermarket products (typically) do not have this type of cooling capacity. Prolonged exposure to heat may cause an LED product such as a demon eye, halo, or strip to fail prematurely. While the products we supply are specifically made to be mounted inside headlight assemblies, they are designed to be universal, and some applications may experience more issues than others. Any color-changing product carries a much higher risk of failure when compared to a white/amber switchback product. Colour-changing products such as demon eyes, halos, and strips also rely on a Bluetooth receiver. Bluetooth receivers rely on compatibility with constantly changing mobile phones and software updates that can lead to syncing or connectivity issues.
If you have any doubt about the use of a colour-changing product installed inside your headlights; we recommend against installing it. By asking us to supply and install the color-changing RGB/RGBW/CHASING product, you accept that the product will most likely fail at some point in time.
Addressable LEDs (Chasing)
Addressable LEDS do not have “Drivers” controlling them like RGBW or Switchback products. If the product is receiving 5v or 12v (where required), as well as proper ground & data, the LEDs will have to be replaced, which will require opening the headlights. GTA Retrofits has made massive steps in product reliability with product updates & exterior safeties such as our GT Inline Capacitors.
Diagnosing and Replacing
For all other LEDs, in most cases LED driver replacement will remedy the issue of a faulty product that does not produce the proper color for example. LED drivers are mounted outside the headlight assembly which will not require the headlight to be opened again. In worst-case scenarios, the demon eye, halo, or strip itself can fail. This would require you to re-open the headlight and replace the defective product. While the product will be covered under the manufacturers’ warranty, any labor associated with the replacement of LED accessories is not covered by GTA Retrofits.
Should they fail, individual pieces such as Angel Eyes, Demon Eyes, Led Strips, Projectors, Bulbs, and Ballast are covered through manufacturers warranty, and will only be able to be warrantied once their guidelines have been followed. When installing your headlights, should they have items such as Angel Eyes, Demon Eyes, Strips, or any accessory with a connection to an external driver, the customer must apply dielectric grease to the connections and wrap them thoroughly with electrical tape, or heat-shrink to prevent shorting and corrosion, as corrosion due to improper install is NOT a warranty-able item. Suppose the customer is unfamiliar with their car to remove their bumper/remove their headlights. In that case, it is also HIGHLY recommended to mount all drivers and controllers in an accessible location for an easy swap.

GTA Retrofits continues to try and maintain accurate pricing across the web-store, however sometimes items slip through the cracks.
