Performance on the cheap: A replica of the Hella G5 projector, the G5-R V4 H2 is what the Morimoto D2S 5.0 was originally based off. We’ll admit, the 5.0 does it better in a few aspects, but the G5-R H4 V2 packs a punch at a good price point. Some differences include a flat cut-off shield on the G5-R, this leads to a slight bowing on the cut-off life, vs straight on the 5.0. The G5-R lens holder is riveted together to the bowl, which leads to a slightly more difficult time if you want to remove the lens to have it etched for example, but if that’s not on the table, then don’t even worry about it.

Installation: is easy using the threaded shaft to any housing, the kit also includes an H4 direct mounting plate, should you be so lucky.

Tints: The blue tint option will increase your output by about 10%, while dropping your bulb temperature output by about 500k, bringing your 5500k down to about 5000k, and so on.
