What’s the difference between the D2S Kit and the D2H Kit?

D2S: Allows for OEM bulbs, or a D2S bulb from any other manufacturer to be used should you desire. Allowing for better output and longevity. Better bulb seating within the holder. You will be required to enlarge the hole on the rear bulb access cap to allow for space for the hid bulb igniter.

D2H: Cheaper, easier to install, theoretically should have the same output as D2S, however, if installed incorrectly (our guides show you how to install correctly), you may experience shadows in your output. Re-seating the bulb should fix this. Should the bulb fail, you will be forced to buy another D2H bulb and will have to wait for delivery/shipping as it’s not a “common” bulb that all suppliers carry and is “aftermarket only”.

 STANDARDS: The Hylux 2088 EU-Spec HID ballast is what the BRZ VLAND Specific HID Kit was built around, set to produce an industry-standard 35w of power which typically provides around 3200 lumens on a quality 4300K Bulb. They will accept a 9-16V range for input and will power all HID bulbs with industry-standard AMP connectors, perfect for this kit.

RELAY WIRE HARNESS: As one of the most important parts of any HID lighting upgrade; don’t skimp out when it comes to your wiring. It doesn’t matter how good your ballasts are, or how good your bulbs are if your harness wiring is below spec (or fuses rated too low) when it gives out, your headlights will leave you in the dark.
